| ウィリアム・B・イェイツの詩集「葦を吹き渡る風」から「満たされない聖体」 Unappeasable Host（壺齋散人） ダナの子どもたちが金色の揺籠の中で笑い いっせいに手を叩き 薄目を閉じているのは 北風に乗って舞い上がろうとしているからだ 翼を広げ風に乗ったハゲワシを追って わたしは泣いている子を胸に抱いてキスをする すると小さな墓場から呼び声が聞こえてくる 海をわたる風の声が聞こえてくる 夕日に漂う風の声が聞こえてくる 天国の門を叩く風の声が聞こえてくる 風は地獄の門前でさまよう魂に吹き付ける 魂は風に吹かれ 聖体は満たされない でもマリア様の足元の蝋燭よりはいとしい この詩も字面からは難解だ。ダナの子どもたちにまつわる民話の知識がないと、正確な意味は伝わらない。別名を A Cradle Song ともいう。 |

Desolate winds that cry over the wandering sea; Desolate winds that hover in the flaming West; Desolate winds that beat the doors of Heaven, and beat The doors of Hell and blow there many a whimpering ghost; O heart the winds have shaken; the unappeasable host Is comelier than candles before Maurya's feet. |
