| ダンテ・ガブリエル・ロゼッティの詩から「接吻」THE KISS（壺齋散人訳） 死の床にくすぶり続ける感覚だろうか それとも悪意ある一撃だろうか 私たちの肉体から自尊心を奪い 私たちの魂から婚礼の衣装を引き剥がすのは ああ いまでも彼女の唇はわたしの唇に まとわりつき からみあっている オルフェウスがいまはのときに臨んで 色あせた恋人の顔を追い求めたように 私は彼女の手に愛撫されるときには子どもだ ふたりの胸と胸が合わさるときには男だ 彼女の魂が私を見据えるときには私も魂になる 私たちの命が溶け合い 全霊をかけて互いの血を 滾らせるそのとき 私は神になる 熱情はほとばしり 炎は燃えさかり 欲望は聖なるものとなる 「命の家」第7番。接吻と題されているが、セックスそのものを連想させる。この後に続く Nuptial Sleep とともに、余りにも挑発的な内容が、ヴィクトリア時代の紳士たちの度肝を抜いた。 |
