| ダンテ・ガブリエル・ロゼッティのソネット集「命の家」から「愛の命」LIFE-IN-LOVE（壺齋散人訳） お前の命が息づいているのはお前の体の中ではない 彼女の唇 手 そして目の中でだ それらを通じて彼女はお前の命をめざめさせ 嘆きや死の苦しみでさえ癒してくれる 彼女がいなくなってしまったと考えてみよ 追想は不毛なものとなり 想像は悲しみを帯び 彼女のいまはの息遣いだけが蘇る 消え去った最後の時間の余韻だけが それでも命は一束の髪を後に残した これを手元で眺めるたびに 過ぎ去った日々の彼女の息遣いが蘇る そうだ 命は人知れず息づいている 永遠の闇がとりまく変化の中にあっても 彼女の髪が死に閉ざされることなくそこにある 「命の家」第36番、エリザベスの死を嘆いて歌ったものだろう。 |
