| エミリー・ディキンソンの詩から「死の床で私は（I heard a Fly buzz - when I died）」（壺齋散人訳） 死の床で私は ハエがうなるのを聞いた 部屋の中の静けさは 嵐と嵐の間のつかの間の 大気の静けさのようだった 周りにいる人の目は乾き 息をこらして窺っていた あの最後の一瞬を この部屋に王が君臨する一瞬を 私は遺言をしたため 譲れるものは何でも譲った その時のことだった ハエが飛んできたのは それは憂鬱で危うげな羽音をたてながら 光と私の間に割り込んできた 窓の輪郭がわからなくなり 遂には何も見えなくなった 人間が死んでいくときは、どのようにして死んでいくのだろう、そのかすかな予感を歌ったものだろう。ハエの羽音は死の知らせ、王とは死神のことと思われる |
